3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 VTHopHead (1331) - Barre, USA - OCT 10, 2004
Draft - Pours a golden yellow in color with a relatively thin white head. Nicely laced. Yeasty aroma with hints of the coriander and orange. Slightly sweet but with a dry bitter finish. Alcohol is present. Easy to see why this beer was awarded a gold medal at the Great American Brewfest this year. A very good witbier.

On tap at the Alchemist. Served in a tulip. Pours a hazy orange/gold with a thick white head. Aroma is very fruity with scents of orange, pear & apricot as well as wheat and coriander spice. Flavor follows the aroma to the tee. Moderate in the mouth with prickly carbonation on the tongue. This one was loaded with flavor and character.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Glouglouburp (4558) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 28, 2006
Partly cloudy yellow body with a generous white head. Complex aroma of cheese, fruits (bananas) and some citrus. Taste is not typical for a witbier. Feels more like a citrusy hefeweizen. Fruity, wheat, citrus. Nice round and oily body. The high abv for this type of beer is very well hidden. A superior if atypical witbier. This Alchemist may not be able to turn metal into gold but turning water and cereals into good beer is impressive enough for me.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Miguel (1181) - Saint-Ours, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 8, 2006
En cask. Robe blanche voilée surmontée d’une mousse blanche épaisse et crémeuse. Arômes légers de blé. Saveurs de bananes, de levure, de blé et de pain.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 axilla (962) - New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 22, 2006
Pours a cloudy light yellow body with a small white head lace. The aroma was mostly yeast with some sweet oranges and bananas. Flavor was mostly wheat and yeast with some sweetnes. I’m starting to notice that all of these brews have the same thin palate.
