A good summer brew josarah (72), Hinesburg, Vermont, USA Jun 30, 2008 Cask at Brewpub: Ample white head, golden cloudy color with a citrus/spice aroma. Taste of citrus, wheat and spice. This is a gold medal winner from the GABF and this batch is even better. hophead75 (1700), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Oct 30, 2006 BA BBF 06. Aroma of coriander and some other spices, light fruit, and yeast. Taste is spicy, light tart citrus, bready and earthy yeast, light spices and hops in the finish. Glouglouburp (2006), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jul 28, 2006 Partly cloudy yellow body with a generous white head. Complex aroma of cheese, fruits (bananas) and some citrus. Taste is not typical for a witbier. Feels more like a citrusy hefeweizen. Fruity, wheat, citrus. Nice round and oily body. The high abv for this type of beer is very well hidden. A superior if atypical witbier. This Alchemist may not be able to turn metal into gold but turning water and cereals into good beer is impressive enough for me. Miguel (1181), Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, Canada May 8, 2006 En cask. Robe blanche voilée surmontée d’une mousse blanche épaisse et crémeuse. Arômes légers de blé. Saveurs de bananes, de levure, de blé et de pain.
