2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 gunnar (2277) - Sandnes, NORWAY - OCT 5, 2011
Can as gift from my gf. Pours pale golden with a big white head. Aroma of sweet corn and hops. Taste is sweet grainy, watery mouthfeel, with a low but noticeable bitterness towards the end. Not the worst of pale lagers.

Pale straw colored pour with a tight white head. The aroma is simple. Pale malt and a touch of light hoppiness, but not much else. Simple, clean tasting brew.

A: The pour is a clear golden straw with a small white head.
S: Same pruney, cloying sugar smell as many other lagers from the region. Horribly sweet with a little bit of metal and bleach. Apple juice and corn syrup only add to the problem.
T: Sweet corn syrup and cereal all the way. Mild malt flavor gives just a bit of bread. No hop character or bitterness at all. Straw flavor is pretty much all the contrast you get from it.
M: Light to medium in body with a medium carbonation.
O: I don’t think I’ll be repeating my purchase.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 crossovert (2544) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 16, 2011
Described as an ale but more than likely an EPL.
500ml brown bottle.
It pours a straight gold with a fizzy white head that quickly dissipates with no lacing.
The smell is grainy with some noble hops, nothing offensive, average.
The flavor is pretty crappy though. it is sweet and husky with some very blunt malt flavors.
Not that great.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 LowBrau (33) - Tonawanda, New York, USA - NOV 9, 2010
Pale gold & clear. Thick white head that stuck around for a while. Cereal dominates the nose. Soft, creamy mouthfeel, with a smooth finish. The aroma is mostly cereal, and the hops give it a light bitterness. That bitterness gets sharper along the way, but overall an easy-going lager. My first foray into Latvian beer has been an enjoyable one.
