Leģenda 1865 (The Legend) is a traditional Latvian beer with its rich and authentic taste. This beer is a unique combination of three different malties and centuries of Latvian beer brewing experience. This beer is for the real gourmands.

Golden colored, little white head. Malty, grainy, sweet, even caramelly aroma with hints of toffee. Thin to medium bodied, slightly watery palate. Flavor is also nicely sweet with toffee and fruits, still some carbonation missing. Aftertaste has slight lemon with caramel.

0.5 l bottle. Pours copper with beige head with nice lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, some hops. Slight hint of honey in the aroma, as well. Taste is full maltiness up front, some grassy and herbal bitterness, as well. Some lingering bittereness. Excellent and extremely well balanced for a lager.

Draught@Cili Pica, Riga. Golden color, small white head. Malty, a bit woody-grassy-cardboard dry aroma. Medium-bodied. Mostly sweet malty with some faint grassy hoppy notes. Sweetish malty aftertaste. Propably a copy of Hartwall’s Legenda.

Bottled copper coloured with a hayish malt aroma and a foamy head. Sweet bitter hops.
