2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2008 This is decent, but more bland and mroe American-tasting than I expected, lacking the herbal hop character I usually enjoy in European lagers. Itís gold with a huge white head that steadily shrinks to a thin lasting head and leaves a little weak lace. The aroma is mostly corn tortillas with some grain, bread, grass, and pine. Itís full and pleasant, but defintiely heavy on the corn quality and lacking on hops. The taste is similar, grain, especially corn tortillas again, a light alcoholic quality, very light herbal bitterness, light zestiness, a hint of spiciness, hint of grass, and a grain-corn finish. The corn quality gets a little tiresome by the end. Itís more like a US macro lager with more flavour than many, and seems like a higher quality, cleaner, more well-crafted Red Dog, because of the dominant corn character. This also remidns me of Colt 45. Luksus is clearly better than both, but not a lot. I was hoping for something more along the lines of Svyturus, from neighbouring Lithuania, butthis lacks the herbal hop quality.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
In the bottle from HyVee CB. Bright yellow gold with a white head. Slightly skunky, yet perfumey aroma. Medium carbonation, medium palate. No skunk flavor. Very smooth. Slightly sweet. A good pale lager.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
bottle. pale gold color with a rocky white head. smells of grass and grain. sweet grainy favor with a bitter grassy finish. nice head retention. certainly not the best beer Iíve ever had but it is better than I thought it would be. sort of straddles the line between pale lager and German pilsener.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
0,5lt can thanks to KnutAlbert. An average lager (but hey another country in the statistics). I liked the light taste and flowery notes of this lager too. Hoppy. I couldeasily think itís lighter than 5%. Nice aftertaste

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is mostly malt, some hops, and a note of grass. Light body. Malty but fresh flavor with notes of grain, very light caramel, and hops. Not that bad, much better than I expected.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Another pale lager, this one sampled at Riga airport. Quite soft, sweet flowers, smooth and easy drinking. Some grassy hops, too. Not unpleasant, but I would save the luxury claim for something better.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Medium sized white head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing, transparent, carbonation duly noted, and a pale yellow hue. The aroma was lightly malty, hoppy and some dishwater soap. Malty, hoppy and finishes dry. Slightly tingly and dry mouthfeel. Medium in body. Somewhat of a nasty tasting beer IMO as the lack of a good flavor was distracting and uninviting to me. Not a beer I want again.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pale golden beer with a fast fading white head. Aroma is quite nice and hoppy. Sort of a combination of noble zestiness over a lean light malt. Itís pretty interesting for what it is. There is a hint of something metallic in here as well that is a bit distracting but it dissipates fairly quickly. Lean and crackery malt base withlight fresh floral hoppiness. Even a bit of yeasty character on the back... quite a nice surprise.

Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), with a light note of soap.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly husky.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
A bit grainy and soapy, but not too bad overall.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Total WIne. Aroma seems to be grassy/noble hop (unique?). Pale golden color with a stiff four finger head that was stable. Thinnish in body. Mild carbonation (must have gone to its head). Pale malt and grain flavors backed by enough grassy hop. Finish is clean, and the bitter seems to be building. As it goes along, I can admit the hop is not at all familiar - just similar to common nobility.
