Very dark with a lasting dark khaki head. The nose has sweet caramel, malts, bread, toast, molasses. The taste is fairly powerful, licorice, powerful malts, bitter chocolate finishes dry. Very nice.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 scania (188) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 3, 2010
Dark amber, almost black. Lasting tan head. Malty but clean aroma. Thick and fills the palate. Taste is milk-chocolate. Nice.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Strykzone (2906) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - OCT 30, 2010
Almost black with a tan head that lasts a couple of minutes. A BIG flavor. Black licorice and molasses reign supreme here. This beer is huge malts. There is some cream, figs, and late hops that are overwhelmed by the malt. A very aggressive beginning smoothed out only a little. A creamy feel.

Wow. Nice beer. The back of the label says sweet stout/cream stout. Confusing but a great beer

27th May 2006 Warning! Early amateur rating! Bottle in Riga. Fully flavoured dark beer but not too bitter. Slight smoke in the undertone. Long dry finish with some fruit coming through. Different. Decent.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 badnewsbeers (2195) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 15, 2010
Pours black with massive, frothy brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, chalk, and some sweet dough in the back end. Flavor of sweet malt, toast, raisin, chocolate, and alcohol. The finish brings out a cheap liquour characteristic that detracts from the basic baltic qualities.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 gyllenbock (1608) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 6, 2010
Bottle. (thanks to SaintMatty)
Very dark but not completely black. Nice tan head.
Roasted malt, bread, some coffee in the sweet aroma. The taste was sweet, in my opinion a bit too sweet. Also some notes of alcohol. Otherwise quite ok, although I do not feel the need to drink the beer again.
