I had this at Yia-yia’s downtown because I had never had a Baltic porter before and was interested in trying one. Unfortunately, my first experience will probably be my last. Very malty and thick it struck me as having a cough-syrup flavor that really put me off and it just didn’t go away and I couldn’t get used to it.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 24.07.2014, thanks masse, 20141121) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had fruitiness, green apples and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, chocolate, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, roasty and bitter. The aroma was weird but the taste was good.
