Black pour big creamy almond head. Grainy smokey aroma. Flavor is a big sweet chocolate and caramel punch, very sugary, oats, nuts,roasted malts and some smokiness in the aftertaste with the sugar staying as well. As it warms the chocolate sugar sweetness really shines and just taste great. Very creamy mouthfeel making this go down very smooth and fast. The sweet milk chocolate is the main flavor but the caramel sweetness rides with it balancing it perfectly. Awesome beer ecspecially for only $1.79 a 500ml.

Pretty much still the same beer. Slight oxidation in the aroma. Flavor has a bit of oxidation but it actually gives more sweetness and a bourbon barrel touch to it and more coffee in there as well. Still smooth and easy drinking, very good and nice to see the differences with aging.

Jul 25, 2008 Sweet, roasted malty aroma with some chocolate notes. Very sweet, roasted malty flavor with coffee, hops and hints of chocolate.

Jul 18, 2008 Bottle. Pour is a cola-like brown with a bit of highlighting and a thin head that is all but gone in the time it has taken to type this. Aromas of clay, dust, cola, prunes and black cherries. In spite of the thin appearance, mouthfeel is heavy and syrupy and flavors are very sweet... almost a bit cloying. Maybe like Cherry Coke syrup (or at least flat Cherry Coke). Fruit is there, as is a cola like presence. This isn’t for me as it needs a little something (more alcohol or some more pronounced hops?) to balance out all of that sweet stickiness.

Jul 15, 2008 Bottle. Dark brown with creamy head. Strong grainy caramel aroma, Flavor is sweet and full. caramel, chocolate and really cola taste Not so strong. Aftertaste isn´t long.

Jul 12, 2008 Mahogany hued beer with a fluffy beige head that left lots of stick lace on the glass. The nose had a strong raw grain note that reminded me of dried dog food, with a cola sweetness. This is a really sweet beer, with lots of cola, caramel, sweetened tea, and some white sugar. There is some roasted grain, a hint of chocolate and raisen, and an alcohol burn. It seems a little thin. I’m not a big fan of this one.

Jul 12, 2008 Bottle. Poured deep brown with thick lasting white head. Not much aroma, a bit of plum. Flavour is full malt, caramel, chocolate plum. Lasting silky full finish. A winner!
