This baltic porter is very complex. Look fine. Smells fine. Taste good. Everything is fine with this beer exept: it's too balanced and too commersal.

Great sweet aroma. Nice grape, caramel, alcohol, toffee tones present in the aroma and flavor. As it warmed, it lost it’s grape/wine tones and became slightly more alcoholic in nature. Not really characteristic of a Baltic porter, but really nice nonetheless.

Dark brown beer topped by a lovely tight-laced brown head. Quite sticky and persistent. Aroma is a little bit plummy and licoricey with a soft toastiness and some toffee as well. There is also a bit of burnt date sweetness. Very low bitterness, but lots of rich sweet rummy flavour. Fairly charry, but not at all astringent. It’s a pretty nice baltic porter. A touch of soft vineous fruitiness on the back. I quite like this.

Very dark brown color with about a quarter inch of light tan head. The head is quickly reduced to a thin film that leaves very little spotty lace in the glass. There is a light carmel/malty aroma that suggests a trace of alcohol as well.
The strong malty flavor is very tasty. There is a lot of carmel, some chocolate-covered-raisins, and a light roasted flavor - not sharp at all. A bit of spicy hops rounds it out very nicely. Good balance. There’s more sweet carmel in the aftertaste, along with a bit of roasted grain and some alcohol.
Warming and very lightly carbonated, with a medium to full body.

Very dark reddish brown with large light brown head. Fantastic light coffee and smooth roast in the taste. A bit of dark fruit. Not too sweet. Fucking lovely. Just a very enjoyable, fairly light beer, that gave me what I wanted.

Bottle, thx to faroeviking. Pours a really dark brown body, clear looking, with a creamy beige head. Quite burnt aroma with chocolate and a little fruityness, smooth and balanced. The flavor has chocolate, some roasted malt, a lovely fruityness and a wee touch of grains. Silky, warming and full-bodied. Smoked and fruity finish. A really good beer, smooth, but maybe a bit on the sweet side, would like it a little bit drier. (080301)

Courtesy of Degarth, thanks buddy. Pours dark brown with tan head. Poured at room temperature too, oh yeah! The aroma is fantastic with roasted dark malts split by dark fruity esters that lead into toffee and caramel candy goodness. The taste is only mildly roasted dark and caramelized malts but mostly rich sweet dark fruitiness. I get sweet Concord grape jam, sweet ripe plums, ripe cherries, some dates and a hint of raisins. The roastiness starts with hints of dark roasted malts and some mild grainy malts before the big fruity esters take over the flavor entirely. Very yummy.
