"Aldara Stiprais" beer is a light, strong malt beer brand, with marked malt flavour. It has rich, well-balanced and enjoyably sour taste (high density and alcohol contents are palpable). Colour - golden yellow.

Bottle 500 ml
Appearance :Bright gold with yellow scent, large thick top unusual in Mocne lagers. Average lace. 4-
Nose :sweet fruity character m berry like soft sweet golden malt below.
Flavour/Palate : Rich ripe fruity front with light bitter side. Malty full bodied side. Clean brew with smooth alcohol touch. Fruity bock like. Fairly neat . I bet that is this brew was sold under Stone or Dog Fish brand this brew would be in mid 3’s. Solid strong lager with rich malt base.

Bottle. Yuck. Pours a hazy yellow with almost no head. Aromas of sweet malts and alcohol. Flavors of sweet malts, corn, metal and alcohol. I was almost scared to finish the bottle after tasting it.

500ml bottle in a shaker. Pours light golden with a thick, off-white head. Aroma of bread and toasted malts with light floral hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. Nothing special here.

Bottle from Alko. Golden beer with white head. Alcohol and bready malts on the nose. A bit alcoholic taste is a bit sweet with decent maltyness which makes a good body. Not so bad, I expected less.

Tasted from a 500 mL bottle purchased in Littleton, Colorado. Pale Lager aroma. Somewhat hazy yellow/orange appearance with a white head. Strong Pale Lager flavor with pale malts and alcohol. Not all that easy to stomach.

Slightly hazy yellow, small ring of foam. Aromas of soapy hops, malt. Taste is sweet with little to balance it out. Somewhat nutty and carmel-like aromas come out, but don’t improve it much in the absence of roasted or hop flavors. Tastes like malt at least rather than cheap adjuncts, but doesn’t have a very good balance.

Pale gold, medium head, some lacing. Nose is grass, grain and some faint rubber. Tastes sweet, with some grass with a bitter-buttery aftertaste. Overall a good strong lager with no "alco-nastiness".

500 ml bottle @ home. Rated @ 17.7.2010.
Pours a clear golden colour with a minimal white head. Sweet aroma of sweet malts, caramel and butter. Unpleasant. Same thing on the flavour too where the alcohol kicks in. Medium bodied, slicky mouthfeel with a grassy and buttery finish. Not good at all.

Rather pedestrian. Gold color, standard lacing pattern. Grainy, grassy nose. Palate is silky, a bit of a pils taste, but hp presence is too low. Not that thrilling.

Pours medium to light gold with massive foamy head that practically sprints back down into the beer. There really is something trying to come through in the nose. There’s a pleasant astringency and grassiness and maybe I’m digging, but perhaps rubber? Clean and pleasant taste of corn and very light malts. Some hops are present but not enough that you’d give a passing glance if your mind were anywhere else. Not terrible, still better than half of the American premiums. Totally hides the 6.5% abv, unlike certain ’ice’ beers.

Drinks like a (slightly skunky) svitle/svetloe, kicks like a mitsne/krepkoe! Vaguely exotic find (I barely had Latvian beer in freakin’ Latvia, but here ’twas), and interesting in its sparseness (lemongrass, as someone noted; with far less sweet-syrup malt used, and not necessarily for the worse). Overall, not outstanding but not bad, and "not bad" in a different way than the usual ECE brew.
