Malty, brown sugar aroma, deep brown with a medium toffee head. Sweet, soft molasses, roasted and nutty flavour. Good bitterness, sweet but not overly so, an interesting example of the style.

Very much like a German dunkel but a little lacking at the edges.Thinish taste but not too gassy so not a bad drink. But if you want to try the real thing its got to be from Germany.

It pours really well with a good chocolate colour and a creamy head. It did finish poorly however but given the circumstances of being held over at the airport in Riga and getting this for free it was not as bad as it could have been.
