2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 K-V-F-L (292) - LaVista, Nebraska, USA - APR 5, 2002
Thickish, malty, oddly calibrated but not altogether unpleasant. Would be absolutely unbearable warm, so make sure your Zelta is well-chilled. Good with heartier pizzas and pastas.
2.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 ectuohy27 (267) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 16, 2011
Off-putting aroma (and unusually warm clear golden appearance) balanced with exceptionally clean, light pale lager taste...no skunking or notable ’off’ notes, as other reviewers have pointed out, this is surprising for the region (and considering how long it took this beer to get to my taste buds)
3.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 daniel0017 (258) - Yukon, CANADA - OCT 21, 2006
UPDATED: OCT 22, 2006 Light amber colored body (for a Lager) with a decent white, foamy head of one finger and very good lacing. Has a weak, hoppy aroma that leads you to a very unexpected and inviting sweet honey, hops, malted barley flavor that is brilliantly smokey. Some more complex flavors are present in the aftertaste. Very good finish in this one... Consistency is a little watery, but not boring. A definitively different Lager. This one’s underated if you ask me and a doubly excellent tasting Lager.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Skidds (252) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 3, 2008
Poured a golden blonde with a white head. Aroma of corn and malts. Flavour is grainy with a touch of sweetness and fruitiness. Finish is light with a touch of sweetness. A pretty good beer.
2.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 fredthecat (252) - CANADA - NOV 1, 2010
no real smell, lightly musty, tiny bit of honey. bright clear yellow, soapy big white head with lace. taste is very soft malt, honey sweet, ending with a floral, fruity hop note. soft but not watery. this is pretty nice, no off notes, just a light tasting but flavourful lager
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 DJC (238) - USA - NOV 26, 2006
UPDATED: NOV 27, 2006 Pale gold color, with a mostly diminishing head. Some lace. Gentle malt aroma, and a woody initial taste. Malt/bread finish, with a slight bitterness. Good carbonation. Too bad I can’t get this really fresh.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Elkas (213) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 13, 2009
500ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours golden with a short lived head. Taste and aroma is typical eurolager. Not great.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 KingofCastle (202) - London, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 24, 2007
UPDATED: MAR 10, 2007 bottle: I feel like I am in the Baltic States, with a pitchfork heaving hay around. Tired, i reach for a cold beer & encounter Zelta. This is a refeshing, tasty pale lager which urges me on to pitch more hay. Classic is the world here: soft malts, some bitterness, some definite sweetness, nothing too offensive, nothing to stand out. You can do better, but don’t turn it down when you need to do more farm work. These Baltic State beers have a lot of soul, I feel transported.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Donatas (188) - Vilnius, LITHUANIA - DEC 25, 2002
The same as lithuanian Kalnapilis. And the same brewer. Average Baltic lager.

bottle: My initial drink of this beer felt like I had taken an enormous swig of Billy Bee honey straight from the honey bear. However, much like Ekstra this beer grew on me as I made my way to the bottom of the glass. Very nice hops and malts blend to produce a nice flavour. Finishes sweet but not in an offensive way. All around a very satisfying brew
