Depending on light this is clear mahogany, deep amber or has ruby tones. Head is rocky, fluffy and light brown. Leaves bit ugly lacing patches. Color is nice anyway. Mild aroma is dry and mildly malty, distant caramel and vegetable, bread. Bit dull, unexciting. Light body, watery thin feel, low carbonation, malty, short finish. Surprisingly diluted and watery. I’ll skip this later on but I just don’t really enjoy dunkel style beers generally.

50cl bottle from Alko. Poured brown in color with a thick, dense off white head. Nice lacing. Bready malty, toasty with some weak metallic notes. Flavor has caramel, bready malts, toast and some sweetness. Long caramelly finish. A lovely dunkel, I really like the caramel in the flavor, balancing the beer and just enough sweetness. Will buy more of this

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 09.12.16, from Alko, 20160226) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, toasted malts and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was toasty and bitter. A nice dunkel.

Surprisingly light colour, a reddish brown, a head is big and blond. Taste is better than aroma and more balanced. Bread, herbs and even some liquirice. Dry enough. Medium bodied, fluffy and pleasant in the mouth. Quite tasteful beer.

500 ml bottle. Deep reddish borwn colour, thick head. Sweetish aroma of toasted malt, with fruity and nutty notes. The flavour is bready-malty, with notes of caramel and cocoa, and a moderately hoppy finish. OK.

Bottle. Clear darker amber in color with an off-white head. Bready malty and brown syrupy notes in aroma. Dark bready sweetness and butterscotch in taste. A bit on the sweeter side, but still drinkable.

Bierkrug (2130) - - JAN 4, 2014
500 ml bottle in Garmisch, Germany. Is a chestnut brown with a beige head. Aromas are soft and fruity with raisins and berry. Some yeast and dusty hay, too. Quite malty. Taste is chocolate and whet with some dark chocolate bitterness and roast character. Some herbal notes are also evident. Earthy and fruity with a dry, bitter finish. Very good.
