maeib (3816), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Apr 26, 2008 Bottled. A red amber coloured beer with a short live whitish head. A fruity dunkel with some caramel and wood. Not as bready as I like my dunkels; the taste instead are a little bit berry like. Lacks length. I’ts different but ok(ish)
yespr (5611), Copenhagen O, Denmark Apr 11, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours almost golden dark brown with a little reddish hue. Diminished tan head. Roasted malt and corn aroma, vague chocolate like note. Flavour is medium sweet with a solid roasted malt base going into a distinct acidic touch. Nice lingering almost breadish finish yet it stays light acidic and dry. Nice one. Magic_dave6 (3536), London, England Feb 11, 2008 Bottle at ronnies. Aroma is typically bready, brown ale malts, roasty malts. Taste is again very bready, just a big malty beast really. Joeh (1892), Buckinghamshire, England Jan 28, 2008 Bottle. Dark brown colour, thin tan head. Aroma is sweet malt. Flavour is caramel, a bit of raisin. Reasonable. Mes_and_Sim (3967), London, Greater London, England Jan 15, 2008 A Mes rate: 50cl bottle from Kris Wines. Mid brown with a huge head that settled to nothing all to quickly. Nice enough colour though. German maltiness in the aroma but with a nice dryness to it and some yeast, fruit and a little treacle toffee. Flavour is more of the same with strong straw and hay notes giving it a little funk. Dry and earthy finish. Not a big scorer but rather enjoyable.
