COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mild enjoyment for the palate. A fine Bavarian speciality with not too many hops.

a little too thick and sticky to be very enjoyable to drink.

Rating #498, bottle from Cuba One Bar in Vilshofen, Bayern

Drunken from lagerglass, this beer appears yellow with a huge head. Aroma is hops and a bit of malts, though there is present a less appealing scent of cleansing agent, too. A bit sourish taste, a bit hay and a bit alcohol. Palate is a bit thin, but it doesn’t ruin the beer completely. Not one of the best german brews, and a bit thin and simple helles.

Bottle. Sweet creamy grainy malt aroma. Clear golden yellow color with moderate head. Sweet creamy barley malt flavor with a very light bitter finish. Nice Helles.

Bottle @ German Tasting Ulfborg. Pours clear yellow with a small bubbly head. Grainy and dry. Medium bodied. Rather harsh herbal and grassy. Very dry end.

It’s warm golden with a white head. The aroma has notes of DMS, light mash and flower. The flavor is rather sweet with notes of mash, malt, light caramel, light fruit and the finish is slightly dry and citrussy.

Pale yellow with a lasting white head. Grainy malt aroma with a little DMS and an odd spicy note. Sweetish malty flavour with mild herbal hops.

500ml bottle from Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Pale clear gold. Very thin white head. Good light beer, lacks a bit of the bite of the pils from the same brewery. But it’s simple and really drinkable. For a light simple helles this is outstanding it really is quite wonderful in its simplicity. On the Ratebeer hedonistic scale it wouldn’t rate highly as it is not showy, but it’s got a great hoppy bite on finish and so much drinkability in the mouth. Great. Some good lemon on the hop.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts spicy and sweet, a bit metallically in the middle. Finish spicy-wheaty. Not bad!
