DruncanVeasey (1741), No. 46, Leicestershire, Germany Mar 8, 2008 Bright spiralling gold. Soapy conifer aroma with touches of honey and almond. Soft, malty, straw and pine-accented. A bit like licking a freshly polished table. Alcohol barely noticeable. Grain, pencilly noble hop, faint biscuit. OK.
johndoughty (1681), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England Oct 12, 2008 Golden and clear.Plenty of body and alcohol presence. A sharp hoppiness
makes this one stand out a bit. maeib (4012), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Mar 16, 2008 Bottled. A light gold coloured beer with no head. A nice toasty lager with some buttery malts in the aroma. Decent hops in the flavour, but it’s that toastiness which raises it above most Helles. Enjoyed it. Joeh (1892), Buckinghamshire, England Jan 28, 2008 Bottle. Golden coloured. Malty, slightly sweet, grainy aroma. Flavour is soft, slightly sweet, a little cloying, mild bitterness. Quite average. leaparsons (4001), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Sep 19, 2007 Bottle. Golden with a small head. Aromas are crisp, clean and hoppy. Dry biscuit malts with herbal notes. Flavours are grain with a crisp, hoppy finish. OK.
