COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This American-style IPA has a mountain of Amarillo hops for explosive citrus aromas and aggressive bitterness with no metallic aftertaste. Ballistic is all natural and unfiltered for superior flavor and quality. It is brewed with passion and is best enjoyed that way.

I love love love how they showcase the amarillo hops in this beer! Great balance this brewery is known for using a lot of hops so I was really happy that while very hoppy they didn’t make something that made you feel like your chewing hops as you drink it.

Had it out of a bottle and poured a rich hazy amber color, witha slight head but mega lacing. Strong sweet aroma and the taste is very mild with a hop finish.

Smells hoppy but not as piney as cascade hops. Taste is hop forward yet well balanced. There isn’t a bad bitter aftertaste, in fact some malt sweetness comes through. A solid apa.

Draft. @ Ale Asylum. Very good IPA. Loads of citrus with a decent caramel malt backbone. I’ll be drinking this one again.

The hop aroma and flavor of this brew are a great example of a well-hopped American-IPA. What I enjoy most about the brew is that Ale Asylum brews it with only one hop variety (Amarillo I believe) so one can really appreciate and understand what that hop has to offer. Hopalicious and Satisfaction Jacksin are the same way, but with different hops.

Good, straightforward IPA. Hops display a mostly citrusy profile. Solid malt backbone. I wouldn’t say this isn’t as aggressive as some more extreme IPAs, nor as well balanced as some of the more subtle classics, but still quite good.

12 ounce bottle. There’s an earthy and unusual flavor character here that I really enjoyed. I pinned the taste along the likes of rosewater mixed with spiced hops, but others may call it something else. The flavors are crisp and refreshing without sacrificing boldness. The beer has a foggy amber appearance and a thin layer of white foam with some lacing. Medium bodied. It was reminiscent of a holiday-spice-ipa that would feel appropriate at the tail end of summer. I bet it goes well with cajun food. I look forward to trying this one again.

Pours medium amber that leans more towards a green color and cloudier than the Hopalicious. It's an okay IPA but the flavors are muddled. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
