3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a medium amber with an off white head and some clinch lace as it goes down the glass. Nose isnít overpowering in any way. Get a bit of piney and citrusy hops atop a good amount of malt. Taste is balanced overly in favor of the malt and brings a little bit of alcohol flavors. Mouthfeel ia a bit light but within the acceptable range. Drinks okay, but not something Iím clamoring to have again.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewery, pours with a very exciting aroma. Fruity, citrus, floral hops, bouquet of flowers, eagerly anticipating the taste. Taste is a little disappointing, but still solid. Thick, floral hops, citrus, something mellowly harsh at the start. Finishes a bit bitter, overall a very good beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle bonus thanks to MrPickles! Clear dark orange pour, little carbonation and a sweet grapefruit aroma. Flavor is very bitter citrus, stale hops and herbal on the aftertaste. All around decent IPA.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle opened 5/9/10 and courtesy of Mr. Pickles. Thanks! Pours a hazy dark brown color with a medium sized tan frothy head. Good head retention and lacing. The aroma is primarily citrus hops with a bit of a tropical vibe, and toffeeish malts. The taste is citrus hop notes with a strong earthy/resiny component. Some tropical notes here as well. Medium bodied. Pretty good IPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
aroma is darkened pine and super resin, big caramel backnote. appearance is murky, hazy amber with good messy lacing and lingering ring. the ultimate in IPA appearance reminiscent of crooked tree. flavor is intense caramel before hops which come later with sticky pine sap, still hop heavy despite overall balance. wonderous beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep amber-orange that is surprisingly clear given the amount of yeast sediment stirring about in there. Big pillowy white head forms on pour and gradually settles down to a light layer that never goes away. Big chunks of lace are left behind as the glass empties. Aroma is a burst of orange and grapefruit plus a solid caramel-malt backbone. Flavor is substantially bitter with floral, resiny hops whose citrus character is a little less prominent in the flavor than in the aroma. The caramel-y malt stays in the background and provides good support to keep the hops from getting out of control. Some good earthy yeasty goodness provides yet another flavor dimension to this multi-layered brew. A tiny hint sour-mash flavor shows up as the beer warms that seems out of place, but not enough to materially detract from the overall experience. Thick and tingly palate with long, floral/bitter aftertaste. Yep, this oneís a winner.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
received a couple of 12oz bottles in a trade with kmadison. I really appreciate having been given the opportunity to try this fantastic IPA amigo!
Appearance: Definately quite red...almost like a peach iced tea or raspberry iced tea. Off white head with good retention and lacing.
Smell: loads of grapefruit and pine resin...mmmm pine resin!
Taste: loads of grapefruit, pine resin, and toasted malt. Not quite caramel which Iím happy about. More biscuity. Really tasty stuff!
Mouthfeel: Not too heavy or sticky. Good amount of carbonation.
Drinkability: Not the best because of the loads of citrus hops but still good.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The Dan Journal #348. Tasted 5/3/10. 12oz bottle. Mildly hazy with an amber hue. Spotty clinging bone white head. Aromas of bright citrus candy and citrus, grapefruity hops. Medium bodied and very drinkable. Bright with a dry finish. A touch light on the palate, but a sure smooth sipper.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint served out on the patio. The pour was a hazy, orangy copper color, with decent, off white, bubbly foam to the head, and clingy ribbons of lacing. The aroma was heavy graininess, substantial malt, resiny pine, and some mid-fruit sweetness. The mouthfeel had a nice creaminess to it, as the flavor added slight caramel hints to the mix, but also an odd, briney, astrigency to the finish.
