On tap at haymarket pub and brewery in chicago. Pours an orange gold color with a really floral head. I love how complex this is but can't identify the finishing flavor. Really great

Bottle at Cafe Hollander. Cloudy copper pour. Lots of clove in the nose. Carmel flavors. Nice mix of malty, pale ale qualities with subtle belgian yeast flavors. yum.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Graze. Orange color and white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, clove, and some yeast. Taste is fruity and balanced. This is a very good ipa on the fruity side rather than the piney, citrus side. Well balanced with a slight hint of alcohol in the finish. Medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy, dirty orange brown with lasting thin soapy head and good lacing. Aroma combo of Citra and Trappist yeast works well for me, with a mix of citrus fruit and peppery yeast. Taste starts nicely with mellow dank citrus from the Citra, then the yeast spice comes around in the middle, finally drying out with a sharper bitterness that fades after several seconds into a nicer aftertaste. Palate is medium-bodied, smooth, and above-average carbonation. Not crave-worthy, but an points for uniqueness, and makes an interesting suggestion for an IPA that a Belgian yeast fan can try.

Location: Draft at Blue Frog’s Local 22, 6/23/14
Aroma: The aroma has some fruity hops and some Belgian yeast
Appearance: This one has an orange pour, an off-white head, and plenty of lace
Flavor: This one has a pretty hoppy flavor, good balancing spice, and a medium-plus hop bitterness
Palate: It has a clean, easy drinking mouthfeel, average carbonation, and a dry finish
I found this to be a pretty nice, enjoyable beer. As a first beer from Ale Asylum, I’m pretty impressed. I’ll happily try more from them.

Beautiful burnt orange pour into Duvel tulip glass. Yeasty aroma with a bit of citrus and fruit. I get a sweet passion fruit in the flavor along with some nice citrusy hops. A nice balance between the belgian esters and hops. Sticky and sweet on the palate.

Pour a light amber with a finger sized off-white head. Nose is of hops. Very creamy and velvety mouthfeel. Taste is hop forward but with a lingering sweetness of malt and fruit. Pairs well with grilled cheese sandwiches and dill pickles.

From 12oz bottle. Pours a amber reddish brown with a white head. Aroma of earthy floral hops. Tastes of light sweetness and light bitterness. A light fizzy medium body with a slight bitterness that finishes with a slight creaminess.Overall a pretty good effort and fairly smooth for this high of abv. Good effort for a belgium ipa style.

Pours a clear light orange with about a finger of off-white, slowly dissipating head. Brown sugar and lemon in the nose. Taste of caramel and lemongrass, with a lot of zest that fades into a gentle hop bitterness. This is one of the more interesting, complex IPAs I’ve had in a while.
