pours gold-orange or orange-amber depending on backlighting, thin off-white head. Aroma of citrus (pineapple and orange and mango) hits immediately from afar. Burying one’s nose in it, one can discern some banana and flowers (the trappist touch, presumably Chimay yeast...WLP500?) Body is medium-light, somewhat syrupy and fuzzy, a bit low on the carbonation overall, a bit prickly and diffuse. Flavor has the aroma components, albeit with a lesser intensity. In addition, there are notes of grain and drying grass, maybe a hint of mineral. Some tree. A nice Belgian IPA, very good job blending the styles. Work on hop flavor intensity, head-retention, and distinct Belgianess if possible).

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark Orange pour with a fluffy white head. Citrus aroma some light strawberry and sweet grains and caramel. Full well coated palate. Flavor has a good amount of malty sweetness followed by a dry piney bitterness and a fair amount of citrus fruits. We’ll balanced tasty and pretty big with a subtle sign of its gravity in the swallow.

Draft. Amber body. Frothy off-white head. Aroma of leafy hops, alcohol, toasted grain, tangerine, citrus, pineapple. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Hop-forward flavor. Leafy, raw hop flavor is sweet malt backbone. A sweeter than usual ipa.

Fantastic IPA with a Belgian twist. A sweet malt backbone but the hops are the highlight. Love the Citra! Color- orange with slight reddish-brown tinge. Citrusy and piney. Yum!

12 oz. bottle. Pours red amber with a tight soapy off white head that dissipates to a wispy film and sudsy collar. Aroma is bright citrus and pine and somewhat resinous. Taste is bitter and biscuit like with bitter citrus some rind and yeast and just a bit of spice. Palate is thin crisp and dry. Very enjoyable, will need to get more down the road.

Draught at the Ale Asylum, Madison, WI.
Cloudy deep golden colour with a small white head.
Sweet exotic fruits, earth and mild yeast in an absolutely delicious aroma.
Mild yeast, some malt, moderate bitterness and dark fruity hops in the flavour. I was expecting a bit more after the great aroma.

Hazed gold with a decent sized white head. Up front I get grapefruit peel, earthy hops, and then a nice core of malts keep this one balanced pretty well.
