3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a small soapy head that recedes slowly and leaves some delicate lacing on the sides.
Aroma is spectacular, just full of juicy citrus hops, pineapples and oranges, pithy grapefruit, but with a definitely fruity ester note in the background from the Belgian yeast. But, to be clear, this smells much more like an American IPA.
Taste is certainly a step below the aroma with the juicy fruit coming through but much less aggressively as in the aroma. Plenty of malts and more spicy than the aroma as well.
Mouthfeel is smooth with soft carbonation and prickly with hop juices on the palate.
This was definitely a pleasant surprise as itís one of the better Belgian IPAs Iíve tasted recently. The taste didnít quite deliver the promise of the aroma but that was a pretty serious promise.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle from Three Cellars. Pours hazed golden orange with a white head. Aromas of citra hops, tropical fruit, and some sweet and spicy yeast notes. Flavors of citrus, tropical fruit, yeast, sweet malts, and moderate hop bitterness. Malt base takes over beer a little, but enough hop and citrus flavor to make it enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Enjoyed on tap at the brewery a few months ago and now from a bottle. Both are delicious with the big difference being more of a bready aroma coming through on tap and more citrus presenting itself from the bottle. Both ways, Bedlam has a snappy bitter bite to it and a full body. A very good brew.

Bottle courtesy of nuplastikk, thank you sir! Hazy golden amber color, small white head, solid lacing. Aroma of pineapple, citrus. Taste is nicely balanced lightly spiced fruity grass and brown bread. Very nice and easy drinking.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 24, 2014 Nice hoppy nose but a bit sweet and sloppy. Pine and herbs in the nose. Cloud orange with a long lasting white head and lots of lace. This is ok but lacking bitterness in the finish which hurts drinkability especially as it warms.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap. Fresh, yeasty, and drinkable. This was definitely more ipa than belgo, but the yeast adds some benefit to the complexities and smoothness. Light citrus fruits in the nose, as well as bubblegum, and buttery bread. On the pour, some milky/creamy white head, and a medium thick burnt orange body. A very drinkable ipa, that is quite smooth yet well bittered with some decent flavors. Flavor notes of prominent citrus and bubblegum again, caramel malts, dinner roll, and herbal hop. Finishes dry. I like.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The pine and typical Belgian notes battle on this one. Taste is a little hop character and banana flavor takes over. I will stick with Hopalicious, not a fan of Belgian mixes.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: OCT 10, 2013 Aroma is pine/citrus and very pungent/grassy/skunky. The flavor is citrus, grapefruit, malts and predominantly a grassy/pungent and very bitter element that defines this completely. Not sure if this had gone bad or this was the way it was supposed to tasted but it definitely stood out.

12 oz bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Amber color, bit hazy. Not much foam. Upon opening the bottle: strong aroma of resin & citrus, in the glass a bit harsher, acidic and fruity and retronasal itís resin again with some maltiness. Flavor is lightly (malty) sweet with an upcoming bitterness. Medium body. Rather prickly carbonation. Finishes medium bitter. Nice!
