Tasted this on tap at the 8th Street Ale Haus in Sheboygan, Wisconsin so I didn’t get great notes. Ugh, way too piney. Not my style.

Sampled at DLD 2013. It poured a hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma was nice spicy, earthy hops with some yeast. The taste was nice earthy, spicy, piny, resinous hops leading to a biscuit, banana, spice yeast character finishing nice and bitter. Very tasty.

Couldn’t like this beer anymore! Great use of trappist yeast to really balance out the finish on this beer. Got a ton of great hoppy flavor with some really nice citric notes to it but the yeast really smooths out the finish in a really nice and refeshing way. Thank you Ale Asylum keep them coming!

The was beer number 2 at the Dark Lord pre-night bottle sharing. Poured cloudy gold. White head. Nose of citrus. Medium body. Flavor is class IPA with citrus hops and bitter finish. Good.

Sampled at the Hampton. Hazed gold. I smell pleasant floral hops. Taste them, too. This is nicely balanced and quite nice to drink.

12 oz. bottle pours a cloudy orange color with floating yeast, average off-white head, and spotty lacing. The complex aroma made me wake up and say wow after trying so many run-of-the-mill IPAs in the last year. This one is full of tropical fruits: mango, pineapple, and clementine overpower the funkiness sometimes called "cat piss", but the latter goes away as it warms up. The spices and yeast keep this far from being an average IPA, and there are just enough sweet malts for good balance. Taste is initially bitter and fruity with a sweet middle and dry finish. Body is at least medium with perfect carbonation and a creamy, sticky mouthfeel. I’m kicking myself from not picking up a six pack or two of these on my last trip through Madison. This would be a regular favorite of mine if it were available year round or where I live.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2013 Has out of a bottle, poured a rich amber hue with a strong fruit aroma and a hint of good stankiness!! Medium head with good lacing. Very tasty not overbearing with hint of fruit and a hop finish.

Poured a hazy dark copper with aromas of spicy orange and fruit and a yeasty bready alcohol. Taste is complex with a mix of bitter sweetness. Not as crisp of a finish as I would have wanted but overall an amazing beer.
