This medium-bodied ale is dark in color and deceiving on the palate. The glassy smooth finish of this beer is your first hint that dark in color doesn't always mean heavy in stomach.

Bottle from madbeerbaron. Pours deep brown with caramel border. Aroma is faint coffee(espresso?), maybe some cocoa, and bread. Taste is rich malt, some light coffee notes. Not a deep flavor but nice and smooth.

Bottle. Flavor is very chocolately, with a coffee or espresso taste. Very smooth, with lots of flavor, but also drinkable. A great porter!

Chocolate is the theme here. It makes its initial announcement in the aroma when Contorter is poured, influences the taste and continues through the sweet, chocolatey finish. Deceptively thin body. Dozens of better porters out there.

Tiefschwarze Farbe mit beigem Schaum. Sehr toller caramelmalziger Schoko-Espresso-Geruch.
Schade.

Bottle. Deep brown with minimal head. Big malt aroma. Chocolate and licorice. A bit weird and thin.

Poured from a bottle, opaque black, with an off why head that quickly goes away. Not much of a aroma. As you drink the Coffee overtone of the malts come through. Very little hop taste. Classic Porter and a very good beer if you are not looking for anything hoppy.

12 oz. bottle. Pours brown/black with a thin foamy khaki head that fades to a wispy film and collar. Aroma has good roasted malt little coco and coffee and faint vanilla/toffee. Taste starts bitter with roasted malt some coffee and bakers chocolate and slightly nutty. Palate is thin to medium with a dry finish. Very easy drinking porter with good flavors.
