3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 akoeninger (156) - Wisconsin, USA - NOV 8, 2012Golden haze appearance. Smells of bread and some hops. Taste is well balanced with a light malt flavor, a little grass, and some hop bitterness. Finishes well. A flavorful and drinkable beer.

Not a huge fan of this one. I had it a little later in the tasting and after a bunch of big stouts and IPAs, just didn’t really measure up. I’ll try it again in the future and update the rating.

Just not my thing or my style. This could be great to style and I wouldn’t know. Had to give it a shot, but there are too many other things with flavor to drink here.

A wonderfully easy drinking beer with enough flavor to remind you should brewed it!

Pours a super light lemonade color and has minimal head. Scent is a rather light wheat/malt. Not much of a hop presence, taste is a little bit of sweetness and not too much else, quite bland.

On tap @ Asylum. Pour is yellow gold with a white head. Aroma is grainy bread and grassy hops. Flavor shows pretty much the same with a stray floral note from time to time. Overall body is moderate and the finish is lightly bitter. Not a whole lot going on with this one, and easily the least impressive brew I’ve had from Ale Asylum to date.

Enjoyed on tap as part of a sampler at Ale Asylum in Madison, WI. Appearance is a light pale yellow, thin white rim. Aroma of ale yeast, light straw. Taste nice and crisp, light, good, nothing out of the ordinary, just a standard but good blonde ale.

6oz sample. Clear gold pour with lasting white bubbles. Nose of gold raisin, old grain, salty and paper. Taste is salty, old grain and paper as well.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sammy (7041) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 7, 2011
On tap at the brewery tasting room. Mild hop bitterness. A transition beer. Soapy head on yellow. Decent enough drinkability for the summer. Avoidable for their more bolder tasting beers. Middling mouthfeel.

Tap at the brewpub. Clear yellow pour with a clingy white head. Aroma of grass and mild hop. Medium smooth palate. Wow - frickin’ good! This is their "default pale" beer? Grass, malt, light hop flavor - good stuff.
