UPDATED: APR 21, 2012 On tap at Atomic Koi in Madison. Pours light orange with thin layer of white head that maintains. Lacing sticks around. Nice clear beer. Citrus and resiny pine in the nose. Nice citrusy and pine flavor with sweet malt. Very good beer. Have had it 5 million times in Madison.

Huge thanks go out to BeerFMAndy (BA) for this bottle in a surprise box that landed on my doorstep! I’ve been wanting to try this one for awhile. 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a clear dark orange with a small off-white head on top. Light lace left behind. Big scents of pine needles, grapefruit juice, lemon, and a sweet floral tone. Very nice indeed. Firm crisp mouth with decent carbonation. Not too filling. Starts out with a smooth mellow sweetness, then switches to crisp sharp hops. Great bitter bite there. Finish is bitter, but not scalding. Excellent hoppy beer. I would love to session this beer, and would if I had access to it locally. Thanks, Andy!

Notes from our Pale Ale tasting. Pours yellowish orange, as most of them seemed to. Aroma was lovely; hop forward, citrus, pine. Taste brings sweet malt with a lot of grassy & citrusy hoppiness back. Finishes bittersweet. Rated 4th of 13 at the tasting, behind Moon Man, Daisy Cutter and Alpha King. Great company to be in!

Bottle from arkurzynski (thanks). Pours hazy orange with a fairly quick tight white soapy head that fades to a wispy film. Aroma malty earthy floral hops with a faint sign of citrus. Taste is floral hops that show some citrus and finish nice and malty. Palate is medium and dry with a slightly gritty finish. Pretty tasty APA!

On tap @ Asylum. Pour is deep gold with an off-white head. Aroma is grainy toffee/biscuit, citrus, and light florals. Flavor shows a slightly more significant malt profile with caramel making an appearance, as well as a touch of apricot. Overall body is moderate and the finish is moderately bitter.

Medium sized white head, good retention and solid lacing. Nice fruity little nose, spicy, citrusy, with a little grain. Body is lightly medium, lil juicey, good carbonation. Fairly dry caramel malts with a solid, citrusy hop backing, lil honey and flowery. Dry, lightly bitter finish. An easy quaffer and a solid APA.
