orville (137), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA May 30, 2007 (On tap at Outback) This is actaully one of their better tasting beers. Ale Asylum is definelty better at making darker beers than stonger lighter color ales. This one is true to the style yet unique also. Sweet maltiness, nuts, and the right amout of hops for the style. Refreshing
phishpond417 (1110), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 11, 2008 A nice beer- pours a clear bright brown colour. Medium sized head, well balanced with lightl roasted malts and oak. Finishes slightly hopped with a sweet caramel and nutty flavors. ketchepillar (238), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Apr 27, 2008 I thought it was pretty nutty and malty, but not sweet though. Maybe some hazelnut. Malt was kinda dirty though. Mouthfeel was pretty thick but slightly sticky with bad carbonation. zebracakes (959), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 22, 2008 Bottle thanks to CMUBEERMAN. Pours hazy, chunky orange rust. Aroma is roasted nuts, malt, grass. Flavor is the same and on the dryer side (compared to the last beer I just had, Goose Island Bourbon County Stout). Not bad for a brown ale, eh? jbuzz (406), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Apr 21, 2008 A tasting at Three Cellars Milwuakee. Very hoppy and very smooth good balance of the hops and other flavors. esjaygee (664), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Apr 12, 2008 Brown with thin off-white head, diminishing with particulates galore floating about the sea of brown ale in my shaker glass. Aroma of caramel, roasted malts and nuts. Smooth, malty, creamy to go with a medium palate. Tastes decent enough and finishes with a little semi-sweet bitter finish.
