2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Lots of caramel aroma and flavor. Not sure this is really a quad - no plum or alcohol burn. Maybe though.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared 12 oz. bottle poured to snifters, showing a clear, copper color, with a modest layer of off white head foam, and spots of lacing. The nose was malty, caramel sweetness, subtle spice, esters as dried fruit, and vegetal/herbal/garden hints that weren’t altogether offensive, but somewhat inappropriate, imo. The taste continued the malt sweetness, with fair carbonation, in a medium body, with low bitterness, and complementary alcohol warmth. After a slightly questionable start, a fairly decent, Belgian Dark Strong Ale.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Poured a cloudy, amber, almost ruby in color -- quite beautiful! Very little head, dissipated quickly. Delicious flavor. Fruity, but still with caramel smoothness -- enough bite to keep you going back for more, but never bitter. Wonderful finish! Delightful winter addition to Ale Asylum’s great line up!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Pours clear amber with a half finger tan head. The nose is ripe dark fruits, candied malts and a slight ABV. Taste is caramel, spice, dark fruits, raisins. Sweet but surprisingly not cloying. Medium bodied. 3.3

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Breeze Thru. Pours reddish orange with no head. Swirling creates some spots, which fade quickly. Aroma has spices, fruits and nuts. Heavy malty, but mainly nutmeg and other spices. Taste is of sweet fruits, spices (ginger and nutmeg) and malts. Somewhat Christmas-y in style. Medium bodied and sticky. With some alcohol. Finishes long and sweety tangy from spices. Interesting.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I had two of these, and wow, fantastic. Spice and nutty on the nose, with the palate being the same. A nice toasty sweet finish lingers around a while. The higher ABV is well hidden and makes this dangerous!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A pretty solid american take, they are often too spicy or too fruity but this one is nicely balanced.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a nice clear dark caramel color. Aroma is weak Belgian spices. Tate is sweet, Belgian spices and yeast. Pretty unimpressive.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Clear amber orange pour with a nice sticky white head. Aroma is caramel and dark plum. Nice slick slightly syrupy palate. Taste is decent - dark fruit and yeast, fairly sweet and slightly boozy. Solid beer, but no where near a Rochefort or St. Bernardus quad.
