3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle courtesy of cbfobes. Thanks! Pours a hazy reddish amber color with a thin tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big floral hops, berries, citrus and pale malts. The taste is toffee, berries, resin and citrus hops. Medium bodied. Nice.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A nice copper pour with a medium sized white head. Really nice lacing that sticks to the glass.
Smell has citrusy hop aroma up front and then the malty sweetness after. Flavor is similar to the smell; hop flavor and then the sweetness. Maybe a little sweeter than some double IPAs Iíve had. I really love Ale Asylum but was somewhat disappointed with this overally sweet IIPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft. Poured into a pint glass a dark, clear copper color with a light tan head. Sweet citrus and floral nose. Medium mouhfeel. Malty sweetness followed by citrus rind hop flavor. Fairly balanced but leans toward the malty side. Easy drinking. Some lace. Sligh lingering bitterness.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a slightly hazy amber with a medium tan head...lighr sediment...nice lacing. Aroma has some grapefruity citrus, a bit of spice, and some caramel. Flavor is slightly sweet and malty...caramel, toffee...and some spicy grapefruit...bitter. mouthfeel is medium and silky and the finish is bitter and dry...slightly stringent or cloying.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Ale Asylum. Lots of caramel sweetness in this one with an abrasive bitterness that really brings down the drinkability. Hop character is citrus and some pine. Finishes sweet and bready. Decent but a bit too sweet and harsh for me.

Caramel and citrus nose that says GO F*CK YOURSELF!!!!
Thick, gloppy red pour with an "off white" head. Itís so god damned thick on the palate that itís hard to rate. I took a swig of this and wanted to beat the shit out of someone! Like that caramel syrup they sell for ice cream. Somebody needs to pay for this! With their life. Any mother f*cker that likes Miller Lite should be put to death with this injected into their veins! Screw them and the God they worship!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Hazy dark amber that catches the light with a nuclear waste glow. Aroma has a big malt base and an in- balance woodsy outdoor hop scent with citrus representation. Initial impression is alcohol, syrupy body and a lingering hop presence. Gets more enjoyable as the alcohol sinks into balance. Overall still thick, high in ABV and only moderately citrusy.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy deep orange. Thin white head that doesnít last long. Aroma is hoppy but has a nice mix of caramel malt as well. Plenty of citrus in it. Flavor is hoppy throughout, but not overly bitter. Very crisp refreshing bite on this one!

It sizzles on your tongue, and itís a strong double IPA, but there isnít the annoying grapefruit tang that often gets in the way of other doubles. It has a red-copper tint and a resin-loaded aroma. Wait for the brown sugar and caramel flavors to soak in for a while when you have a sip. Iíd definitely buy this again. Also, some trivia on the name - itís the Ale Asylum GMís former band name from his time in Sheboygan, inspired by an adult movie character.
