Ughsmash (2833), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Nov 26, 2006 On tap at the Ale Asylum. This one just didn’t strike the right chords with me... Clear, brighter golden pour with a short cap of white head. Nose was faint and kinda diapery.. sweet light fruits and some floral hops came through along with some brighter white pepper. Flavor was quite sweet with light fruits and other unidentifiable sweetness.. mild floral bitterness and lots of peppery alcohol. The heavy sweetness and peppery booziness didn’t flow so well.
phishpond417 (1162), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 4, 2008 Pours a hazey golden colour with a full white head. Sticky lacing, Aromas of pears, bananna and wheat. Taste is sweet and easily disguises the high ABV. Great beer all around. madcow75 (406), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA May 23, 2008 Draft at the brewery. Pours lightly hazy yellow with almost no head. Aroma of yeast and fruit. Taste is pretty much the same, some lemons, orange, cloves and some banana coming through. Nice and light I thought. I’m not usually a fan of this style, but I dig this interpretation of it. Gurst (281), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Mar 17, 2008 Warm syrup and alcohol hit the nose and tongue. Sweet, with hints of grape, prune, lemon, honey, and olive oil. Ends with citrus and alcohol. Thick, syrupy body compliments the fruit and alcohol mood. egajdzis (2879), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 10, 2008 Poured a lightly hazy orange amber color with a small ring of white bubbles, light lacing left on the glass. Aroma of banana, citrus fruits, yeast, and some candi sugar. Taste of honey, sweeter candi sugar, banana, light clove, yeast, and a bit of alcohol in the finish. Petrucci914 (314), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Nov 18, 2007 Pours a yellow-bronze color with a thick pillowy head and plenty of lacing. Aroma is yeasty with hints of wheat and banana/clove. Taste is fruity with hints of banana and yeast. Very easy drinking for 9.7% alcohol!
