Bottle from the cellar. Still boozy and sweet, but I kinda like that. I can see where this could be a love or hate beer. For me it is on the upper end.

Bottle. Mostly clear golden orange pour with minimal head. Getting some rotten banana in the aroma and taste. A touch of garbage juice. I don’t think this bottle is super-fresh, but its not terribly old either, and I wouldn’t expect a little age to beat-down a tripel.

Nice aroma but the taste was too sweet for my liking. The mouthfeel is chewy and sticky, which is pleasant but the syrupy sweetness is just too much for me.

"this was a nice beer, but surprisingly almost sweet enough to need to be a desert beer. fragrant nose of fruit (light fruits and banana), spices & yeast. almost sticky feel, but smooth and covers the 10% very well. would get again for retail, but not really a classic tripel. thanks John."

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear golden color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, spice and bubblegum. Medium to full body with flavors of floral yeast, malt and fruit. The finish is mildly spicy with a clove and yeast aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle. Clear golden pour with a thin white head and some spotty lacing. Aromas of Belgian yeasts and candied sugar. Taste is fruity and sweet with some serious alcohol on warming. Medium bodied with a sweet finish.

Bottle from Steve’s in Fitchburg, cellar aged a month. There is a golden yellow pour with a lot a tiny bubbles. Quite a bit of a white head with some spongey head and lacing. Aroma has Belgian yeast components with sweet fruits and candied sugar. Taste is of sweet light fruits including pears and apricots, some candy sugar, tangy belgian yeast and some biscuity malts. Sweeter down through the glass. Light to medium bodied with a touch of alcohol. Finishes somewhat short and a sweet fruity with sugar. 13.6

Pours a light golden color with a slight white head. Nice and creamy on the palate, the taste is yeasty, fruity, slightly sweet, some cloves and honey. A very tasty tripel with a nice kick. This beer pairs well with a smoked turkey sandwich and chips.
