COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a blend of Leroy, and Rye’d Piper. It was aged for 5 months in a Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrel. We really enjoy it’s milk chocolate and coffee flavors. Spicy from the barrel and the rye, it is both smooth and dry in it’s finish.

Bistro -bal fest 2010. Medium dirt brown color with a small but lasting light tan head. The aroma is chocolate, nuts, oak, vanilla, and bourbon. The flavor is pretty nice, a little sweet but not too much, with a good nutty and cocoaish brown ale base and a not too intense -bal character lending oak, vanilla, and slight fruity notes. Body is medium and the carbonation is on the softer side. A pleasant surprise actually, as this was pretty good after I didn’t expect much.

Tasted at the 5th Annual Bistro Barrel Aged Beer Fest on 11/13/2010. This brown ale pours a medium brown color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, a touch of wood and bourbon. A medium bodied brown ale. The malts are fruity, nutty and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Decent carbonation. A touch of wood and a little bourbon, more in the background than anything else. Mouthfeel is full. The finish is clean and smooth. The aftertaste is slightly sweet.
