Hoppy red ale brewed with Rye malt. Deep ruby red in color, this hoppy American Red Ale speaks to the adventure drinker. Rye malt lends a subtle earthiness and silky body, which complements the big caramel and chocolate malt flavors. Just enough Pacific Northwest hops are added to balance this bold and beautiful beer.

Not bad. A little weird. Hard to pigeon hole for sure. Seems boozy to me beyond its ABV.

"interesting beer...seemed casked though it was not. had it with a hearty breakfast. cloudy brown, great interplay with the ample hops, spicy rye, and sweet malt. intruiging beer, makes me want more of there stuff. not as good in the bottle (3.8+ on tap, 3.4 or so bottled)."

Tap. Pours hazy chestnut, small beige head, good lacing. Aroma is rye, toffee, pine. Flavor follows, light sweet, light bitter, lots of maltiness and rye spice, with a lingering pine bitterness. Medium body

Bottle thanks to someone at Brian’s. Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. A nice fruity and rye grain nose. The flavor is bitterness, IPA like hops, some spicy rye, toasted malts, nutty. Quite nice.

Dark mahogany pour, small head. Aroma reminds me some red IPA’s, can’t really feel the rye here though. Taste is quite bitter at first, hops and pine needles mixed with dried fruits. Long and bitter finish.

Tap at 23 Beerz. Pretty reddish brown color with lace. Nose of cherry, caramel, chocolate, orange, light spice. Strange, spicy flavor, malty caramel, some chocolate, nice fruits. Solid bitterness. Enjoyable, but maybe a bit too much rye. A bit harsh.

22oz. bottle at a recent bottle share – reviewed from notes. Aroma smells straight up like rye bread, crusts and all. Doughy, slightly roasty, faint chocolate and light pine hops. Pretty neat. Pours deep cola with some red hues giving a soft glow. Faint cloudy head sits on top of the beer for a majority of the glass. Taste dark malts, spicy rye, burnt sugar, some dough, pine, raisins. Pretty deep flavors with a nice complimentary hop note. Esters are low, and it’s not fruity at all. Body is medium with soft carbonation. Overall a pretty bready beer with a nice spicy and hop note.

Bottle. Hazy ruby brown color with lasting light tan head. Spicy, toasted rye bread, nutty, mild plastic aromas. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Toasted rye bread flavors with spicy hoppage, light nuts, and a drying finish___not bad.
