4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A - Pours a just barely clear ruby-orange with a finger of frothy khaki head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of sweet caramel malts, spicy rye, some bready malts, grapefruit and citrus hops, and a touch of pine hops.
T - Starts off with a mix of sweet caramel malts with some grapefruit and citrus hops and mild bitterness. Through the middle, the spicy rye comes through with some bready malts, and a bit of pine hops and more bitterness. The finish is a mix of spicy rye and caramel malts with grapefruit hops and some bready malts.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a spicy, dry, and lightly bitter finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice rye beer with some good earthy and spicy rye flavor and great overall balance.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap. Medium to dark brown with a cream/beige colored head. Aroma is definitely rye with some roasty notes and some semi-sweet notes - possibly chocolate? Flavor has some slight caramel malt sweetness with a lot of nice rye character. Some pepperiness and earthy hops towards the finish. Medium bodied. Overall a very nice rye!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap: hazy brown with medium-sized off-white head. Aroma is light roast grain and caramel. Flavor is grainy with a toffee sweetness, a bitter tangy hop bite comes in the end with some salt and nutty notes. Good flavors, will drink again.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle... Poured deep red with a thick, eggy head. Drinkable with low bitterness. Quite sweet. Unfortunately not a whole lot of rye spice and flavor. Nice mouthfeel though, not over carbonated. Sweet malted finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle:   Brownish, dark, seems a bit muddy, large pillowy light beige head, fairly sticky lacing.   Soft cocoa and earthy nose, a bit of rye as well.   A bit more assertive rye on the tongue.   Has an earthy or organic malt sort of profile.   Cocoa is there, but diminished.   This beer feels somewhat dry.   As it warms it gets a bit more grainy with an earthy tinge.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Smidgen of citrus peel like hoppiness on the exit.   Wished this one was a touch sweeter, with a bit more caramel.   Would have made it a bit more interesting.   Otherwise not bad, but seemingly pedestrian.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
It was a nice beer...at first sip a bit of sweetness... Eventually evolved to hoppiness...which was a little weird. Not like other IPAs that might have a lingering piney afterglow. Nice brown color... Went nicely with pork chops.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bomber from "Lifesource", Salem Oregon. $4.95
Dark chesnut brown with a really impressive thick, creamy light tan head.
Mostly hoppy/fruity type aromas..floral and slightly resinous. touch of rye but it isnt great
Hmm a strange one mostly malty coffee type bitterness.. resiny hops..and again a spcy rye backing..but again its very slight.
Quite nice mouthfeel to this one..very smooth and rich.
A very nice beer but i feel cheated at the lack of the rye aspect
Id be willing to consign this to the CDA category

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle with Carla. Pours a hazy ruby brown with off-white foam. Smells malty with hints of pepper. Tastes malty with lots of bitterness both from hops and the rye, with hints of black peppercorn.
