COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The "extra" in this straw colored pale ale refers to how light the malt is in this beer. The hop level in this pale ale is higher than one might expect from a beer this low in alcohol.

Pours golden orange with a small white head. The aroma is very hoppy with mostly grapefruit and orange with a little caramel malt sweetness. The flavor is all citrusy hops with grapefruit, and lemon/lime zest. Good body and just a touch of malt for balance. Really big bitter citrus peel finish. Limey aftertaste.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a hazed orange hued body with a large white head that leaves great lace. Aromas are bready, light floral honey notes, citrus and a bit of an herbaceous hop character. Flavors are citrusy, bready. Quite bitter and quite dry. Medium bubbles, dry.

On tap at Rogue Brewpub, North Beach, SF. Handsome pour, very pale gold with a frothy head, could almost pass for a pils in appearance before the sumptuous dry hoppy aroma invites you in. Medium carbonation and a pleasantly lively mouthfeel. The flavor is pretty appealing in its complexity, given the style and ABV, and the dry finish was really very nice. Crisp and refreshing rather than resinous and dank. Went down well.
