COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Keg and bottled, special
Brewed in Chicago on the Summer Solstice 2013 by Tom Newman of Celt Experience Brewery, Ben Saller of Atlas Brewing Co. and Jesse Edwin Evans and Samuel Evans of Ale Syndicate. The recipe was inspired by a Celtic legend surrounding the solstice and blends 7 different hops (Cascade, Citra, East Kent Golding, Simcoe, Hallertau, Warrior and Columbus) to create a smooth, citrusy and aromatic double IPA. At 8.1% ABV and 60 IBUs, Seven Flowers will challenge and excite hop lovers on both sides of the Atlantic.

Bottle from the St Albans Bottle Shop. Poured a hazy orange with a thin white head. Full aroma of hop resin, apricot and caramel. Soft fruit flavours, with a good dose of citrus hops and biscuity malt. Finish was very bitter with dry grain and tart orange peal.

Foggy light brown with a large white head. Mainly pine in aroma, also hints of citrus fruits. Surprisingly light taste for a double IPA with nice bitter end. Decent beer.

Bottled. Pours deep golden with an average off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, lemon zest and pine. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and solid bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carb. An excellent IIPA.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes orangegoldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig fruchtig, hopfig, überreife Früchte. Geschmack sehr malzig fruchtig, hopfig bitter, Dörrobst, intensive Aromen.

0.33L bottle@drink baar. Amber, medium top stays. Enjoyable roasted hops and rotten vegetable aroma. Comfortable, soft start, good orange peel, light caramel, grass, over moulded blue cheese flavors. Light spicey mouthfeel and enjoyable bitter end. Ok!

33cl bottle from Oddbins. Appearance - a lovely copper colour with a very generous creamy head. Nose - cake mixture, some sultanas maybe. Taste - oranges, sultanas and sweet breadiness. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy and biscuity texture and an elegant dry finish. Overall - yeah, good beer.

330ml bottle under the Celt branding, shared with jeevan. Pours clear amber, thin white head. Massive hop nose, resin and orange citrus, light pine. Taste is also in the standard DIPA territory. Good, but then, I kinda like this kinda thing.

Bottle at home, from Oddbins LB as Celt Seven Flowers, 07/03/14. Hazed dark orange amber with a big ole frothed up white head dress of bubbledom. Nose is candied sugars, caramel malts, pine, sweet tones, candyfloss, pine, bitter grapefruit in the background, pine. Taste is caramel malt forward, lick of honey, orange pith, caramac bar, floral notes, quite sweet, bitter tropicals, candyfloss. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, a little sweet and cloying on the palate. Ok DIPA but too sweet for me and not bitter enough.
