Keg and bottled; Special.

Brewed in Chicago on the Summer Solstice 2013 by Tom Newman of Celt Experience Brewery, Ben Saller of Atlas Brewing Co. and Jesse Edwin Evans and Samuel Evans of Ale Syndicate. The recipe was inspired by a Celtic legend surrounding the solstice and blends 7 different hops (Cascade, Citra, East Kent Golding, Simcoe, Hallertau, Warrior and Columbus) to create a smooth, citrusy and aromatic double IPA.
At 8.1% ABV and 60 IBUs, Seven Flowers will challenge and excite hop lovers on both sides of the Atlantic.

Hazy orange, medium creamy white head with filmy retention and nice lacing. Aroma is bready malt, kiwi, buttery notes, mangoes, citrus, caramel, piney hops. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitterness. Hoppy-buttery finish with decent bitterness and dryness. Oily texture, medium body, soft carbonation. Odd DIPA, but enjoyable.

McNeillR (1330) - SCOTLAND - OCT 29, 2013
Dirty golden with a stern haze, nice cushion of long lasting white head. Sulphurry, heated nose, suped up mango and little else nose. Arching bitterness, grainy orange zest and a yolky mouthfeel. Muddied hop, half citrus half getaway weak tropical. Piney glue of malt before the finish of white fruit, wizened mango covered resiny sugar from a fairly static DIPA. More than decent.

Bottle, OddBins, Queensferry Road

Pours hazy gold with creamy head. Full aroma mangoes, pine with nice bitterness matching with sweet. Fruity bitter taste and light - very deceiving for a 8% - dangerous but lush stuff

Keg at the Rake - London. Pours cler, deep gold with a fine, filmy cream head. The aroma has jammy fruits, dank citrus, ripe melon, papaya. Medium to big sweet flavor with lots of ripening tropical fruits, some bread, white grapes, tangerine. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, subtly resinous, plenty of malt sugars, lots more semi-ripe tropical fruits, more mango and papaya, orange and other citrus. Not bad.
