Keg and bottled; Special.

Brewed in Chicago on the Summer Solstice 2013 by Tom Newman of Celt Experience Brewery, Ben Saller of Atlas Brewing Co. and Jesse Edwin Evans and Samuel Evans of Ale Syndicate. The recipe was inspired by a Celtic legend surrounding the solstice and blends 7 different hops (Cascade, Citra, East Kent Golding, Simcoe, Hallertau, Warrior and Columbus) to create a smooth, citrusy and aromatic double IPA.
At 8.1% ABV and 60 IBUs, Seven Flowers will challenge and excite hop lovers on both sides of the Atlantic.

Tap @ Craft, Clerkenwell, London as Celt Experience Seven Flowers. Hazy orange with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - grapefruit. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 041013

Keg at the Rake - London. Pours hazy/ unfiltered, colour gold with a great cream head. Full resinous and pine aroma with nice bitterness matching with sweet body. Fantastic example of a double ipa

Keg at the Rake - London. Pours cler, deep gold with a fine, filmy cream head. The aroma has jammy fruits, dank citrus, ripe melon, papaya. Medium to big sweet flavor with lots of ripening tropical fruits, some bread, white grapes, tangerine. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, subtly resinous, plenty of malt sugars, lots more semi-ripe tropical fruits, more mango and papaya, orange and other citrus. Not bad.

Amazingly deep routed characters for a beer with a low apparent bitterness. Depth with spices, citrus fruit and pine. Lovely aromas encouraging you to drink

Had it on tap/cask at Owen & Engine in chicago. Poured a dark murky amber hue with a fizzy head and no lacing. The taste is of bold complex hops amd a malty aftertaste.
