3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Hazy orange unfiltered body. Lots of carbonation bubbles rising to meet am even, foamy, off-white head. The aroma is light and subdued, some dry grassy hops maybe. This would be pretty good if it was just their house light Golden Ale, It doesn’t have enough hop definition to be an IPA of any sorts. Has a grassy, yeasty feel, not unlike a wheat at times. Not a horrible beer, just a weak representation of the style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
[Bottle] Dark golden/light amber pour with a distinct haze to it. Lots of soapy foam and good looking lacing on the glass. Nose solidly features floral hops, grass and lighter citrus notes. Taste follows the aroma pretty closely with more grapefruit, clean malts and pleasant lemongrass hints. Tons of flavor and balance for a lower alcohol beer. Really impressed by this beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Mild aroma of hops, notes of pine. Pale orange color with a white head that settles quickly. Light sweet malt up front, very light. Light peppery hop flavor melds in ..but is light also. Finsihes with a very mild bitterness. Watery on the palate. Take the session a little to the extreme....a little more flavor/bite is needed. Mehhh.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This pours clear golden with a thin white head. It’s nice and dry w/ a good array of citric hops. Carbonation reminds me quite a lot of a good pilsner. It is vigorous but fine and lends a certain lightness and drinkability. This is definitely a hop-centric brew but balanced after a fashion and not overly bitter at all. This really nails what it was going for in my opinion and is one of the better lower gravity pale ales.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a slightly hazy golden with a medium to thin, bubbly white head that lingers for a bit. The aroma has grassy hops, orange, and hints of pineapple and grapefruit. The taste is more dry and a bit tart. It brings floral and grassy notes, as well as lemon, orange, and some banana that comes through at the end. Aftertaste is fruity and short. Light to medium in body, a bit of a sticky texture, with some lively carbonation. Its very easy to drink and somewhat refreshing. This is a good light beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle from the Binnys South Loop Singles Rack (Chicago, IL). 2nd Ale Syndicate bottle from this 6er. Pours a well hazed darker amber hue, well dulled and darker body with a bit more amber glow on the edges and bottom as we move out. Cakey decent sized whitish head atop stays as a small layer, ok stick around and lacing overall. Aromas are some decent jabs of citrusy grapefruit and lemony hops, decent florals and a touch of earth. Bready and cereal malts, just a touch of sweeter base. Fairly soapy and citrusy but not potent. Initial is lighter bodied with some distinct juicy citrus rind and juice, lemon and grapefruit meet some florals, decent bitterness. A bit prickly, light bodied. The flavor elements feel more dry and simple on the palate. The middle, a bit bready and grainy but clean, citrus oils and firmer florals the the beer’s size. The backend shows some dryness, decent hop character tapering out. A bit lemony, a touch stale. The smaller body is fairly approachable if a bit flabby. The hop nose is fairly pleasant but doesn’t necessarily deliver that much flavor or life overall. The beer is pretty drinkable stuff albeit lacks some of the complexity other Session stuff popular on the market right now have, be it from their hop selections or whatever. It’s not bad though, a summer session beer with some decent bitterness and hop character.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Enjoyed from bottle pour at The Portage in Chicago, IL while enjoying an anniversary with my beautiful wife. I didn't take tasting notes, but remember this being a great easy drinking ale with an equal balance between citrusy hops and bready / caramel malts. Very enjoyable stuff.
