Bottle. Pours in deep black colour with huge tan head. Aroma is roasty and coffee. Taste is well balanced sweetness with bitterness coming from hops as well as the roast. Hints of oak and cherries in the aftertaste. Wheat is present. Little bit grassy. Body is light with low carbonation.

Po dlouhé době pivo, které mě opravdu zaujalo. Černou IPU jsem pil poprvé, chuťově je jinde než všechny ostatní černá piva - více pšenice nebo čeho. Palec nahoru. Lahváč z pivoňky.

Amazing creamy black IPA, very roast yet smooth taste with again roasty aromas. This was a very very good beer.

On tap @ Pub Setka, Poznan, Poland. Pours hazy dark brown with stable tan head. Clear aroma of malt with roasty and caramellish notes. Bitter, hoppy onset, gradually giving way to sweetish malty and caramellish touches. Dryish, smoky aftertaste. A good one, indeed.

Bottle. Very interesting black ipa. Black color, white thick head, almost no sweet tones, nice long palate. Like it! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0.5 bottle. Black color, small brownish head, somewhat thick. Aroma of a typical IPA; mostly tropical fruits, but it is accompanied by strong malty notes typical for stouts. Taste is also one of the more common but again supplemented by stout’s toffee and coffee flavors. Medium body, creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finish is medium long and malty bitter, coffee and some smoked malts prevail. Overall it’s a good beer, combines two of my favorite styles and does it surprisingly well.

Bottle. After pour looks very promising: black colored with stable tan head. Lot of grapefruit in aroma, also coffee and roasted malt, maybe too volatile for my nose. Taste is very bitter, balanced with malty sweetness. Medium body with cappuccino-like creamy texture, lively carbonated. Dry, alcoholic finish. Not a bad black IPA, but I’ve drunk better ones.

Świetne polskie piwo. Żadko pijam ten gatunek ale to dla mnie wyśmienity smak. Piwo ma bogaty wielosmakowy smak. Piana mocna i gęsta, Smak pełny gożki i wytrawny. Chmiele amerykańskie wyraźnie zaznaczone. Finisz wytrawny. Kolor czarny i nie przepuszcza światła. Jedno z lepszych ciemnych polskich piw jakie piłem.

Aroma: citrus (grapefruit mostly), coffee and roasty notes; Appearance: black as a Kirchhoff’s black body, big and strong tanned foam, good lacing; Taste: strong bitterness, medium sweetness, quite intriguing, very good mix; Palate: medium body, rather creamy feel, average carbonation, long bitter and dry finish; Overall: very interesting and good beer, good drinkability but "black" as in "Black IPA" should be a little more "prevalent"(?)

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2013 Color is black, head is big and beige. Nice lace on glass. Aroma is citrus and pine hops with roasty malts on background. Taste is strong hoppy (grapefruit, pine). After that feels some roasted malts with chocolate. I?ts fantastic! I drunk first part of Black Hope which was definitely worse that last one.
