On tap. Pours is dark with thick tan head. Aroma of smoked cheese, bacon, t bitter, peated malt. Light sweet, light bitter, smoked notes on tongue. Medium body, oily texture, light sweet finish. Very good.

On tap. Black color, tan head. Aroma of smoked whiskey, oak barrels, some more whiskey and that’s it. I have no idea how this was done, but it tastes really like some premium Irish whiskey. But this is also a problem as it slightly doesn’t taste as a beer anymore. Great stuff though.

Benzai (14074) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 27, 2016
Bottle @ home shared with Thompson.GUSHER! Opaque dark brown to black color, huge beige to light brown head. Smell and taste malts, whiskey, peat, smoke, leather, a bit dusty. Evens out after a while, so the peat is just within my limits. Body is decent, carbonation is (too) high.

Bottle shared by benzai... Pours a gorgeous beige big dense rapidly dissapearing head... Pours pitch black with a very minor red glow.. Smells peated malts vanilla old fabric (grandma’s couch).. Taste vanilla peated malts old fabric again some bitterness that resembles bit like coffee not really there though. It would be a nice beer but the fabric taste is to strong might be peated to much not sure

I don’t like peated beers and this one is no exception, definetely undrinkable for me, too much oppressive accents of peat which covers everything else.

bottled. Dark black, with almost no head, which lasts for few seconds. Aroma is full of peated malt such as Islay whiskies, toffee and vanilla. Taste is sour and sweet, whiskey, with aftertones of coffee and chocolate. Full bodied. This one was delicious.

Barwa ciemnobrunatna, prawie czarna.
