A golden double IPA with strong sweet citrus aroma and a deep resinous citrus punch with a strong backbone.

Deep golden towards copper. Clear sparkle. Thin lineof white head.Good pine nose start and some lengthy huskiness throughout but the tsste through the palate needs more development. Bit malty in the middle. Definitely decent to not too bad at all.

Bottle from Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, copper colour. Film of white head. Light, ginger spice. Hint of bloomy orange. Taste is spicy dry. Orange pith bitter. All with a Highland Toffee sweetness running through. Chew on the palate. Spicy dry, bitter finish. Nice enough, but lacking oomph.

Bottle. Golden brown with an off white head. Aromas are biscuit and mixed grains with citrus rind. Nutty tea with hedgerow and sharp lime. Flavours are mixed tropical fruit with a cereal malt base. Citrus bitterness with peppery alcohol. Pretty good but a bit mellow.

330ml bottle from BeerRitz. Clear coppery orange-gold amber colour, off-white foam head and aroma of malt, caramel, tropical fruit, mango. Taste is biscuity malt, caramel with orange, grapefruit bitterness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry boozy earthy bitter finish. Quite drinkable DIPA.

330ml Bottle from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow:
Tropical fruits & caramel, some sweetness & hops that add to the bitterness. Some resinous pine and I could detect some citrus too, this one is quite an enjoyable with some sweet malts & hints of grapefruit on the nose too.
Clear, slightly caramel tinged amber & topped with a thin, bubbly white head that fades to a patchy lacing across the surface.
Quite bitter initially, more so than the nose with plenty of grapefruit & pine from the hops. Some sweetness and a good helping of caramel malts follows this but the hops & bitterness dominate. Citrus & orange flavours start to come through shortly after & some biscuit malts feature too.
Medium bodied & bitter with some sweetness throughout. The alcohol content was well hidden & the balance was good making the beer an easy on to sip away at. Carbonation was moderate to fine & there was a pleasantly bitter after taste too.

A pretty good first beer, my first from Alechemy. Quite bitter with good sweetness throughout & very much a drinkable double IPA that wasn’t overly heavy on the alcohol content; I could see me going back to this one again in future.

Bottle [from trade with minutemat] @ home. Slightly hazy dark orange to rusty reddish color, medium sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, a bit sweaty, some hops, lightly resin. Taste malts, hops, lightly resin, moderately bitter, but unfortunately also in the flavor something lightly sweaty or at least unfresh comes through. Decent beer for sure but not a real good DIPA.

Almost clear gold - amber beer, small white head. Palate is smooth with fine carbonation. Smooth light malt. Hops are a pleasant resinous tangerine - pine, not sharp at all. Whisper of hop spice. Finishes smooth. A tasty and easy going IPA.

Bottle at home, from Hippo Beers, 07/06/14. Clear golden amber with a well appointed off white covering. Nose is caramel malt, bitter grapefruit, sticky pine, light cheese. Taste comprises bitter grapefruit, boozey tones, caramel malt, bitter orange, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness and booze in a slightly sticky close. So so for style, a shade better than the Cosmati but not by much, a bit to sweet and boozey, no real citricina shining through all of this - 1D!
