Bottle sample thanks to Lewis.
Appearance - golden, bubbles very gentle and delicate, some decent lacing.
Nose - pink grapefruit, some malt backbone.
Taste - more pink grapefruit, some resin, still decent malt in the background.
Palate - medium bodied with an oily texture and a fresh finish.
Overall - quite challenging but the challenge leads into a reward.

3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Cornelius (I seem to be on the same shopping route as jamestulloch!). Pours crystal golden with small white head. Lovely unctuous smell of papaya, tropical fruit and orange. Medium body, good carbonation and quite bitter throughout. Doesn't give as much on the tongue as the nose suggests but underlying citrus and hops come through and gave a tingle to the lips. Very drinkable.

Bottle from Cornelius. Completely clear golden body with a thin white head that slowly fades. Steady carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of white bread, peach and citrus. Flavour of soft citrus with a faint bitterness in the finish. Thin body with a light, oily texture. Soft carbonation. Simple and easy drinking.

Bottle. Golden with white head. Aroma has slightly cheesy hops, biscuit, little buttery. Taste has citrus, floral, cheese, biscuit and a tiny bit butter again. Medium to thin with a dry finish. Ok

Yellow pour with fair head. Really nice orange characteristics on the nose, bit of spice. Bitterness is fairly prominent throughout, which is nice on the end, but could maybe let the malt come thru a bit more. Good, light body and medium CO2.

Keg, at Westow House, Crystal Palace, Thursday 16th January 2014 Pours dark gold light amber with filmy white head, Loz gets butterscotch (I don’t) Really quite bitter, bit furry. Zesty in mouth, fruity, quite decent bitter golden ale. Hoppy burps aplenty. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Fruity aroma of citrus and sweet peaches but also a bit of sweaty cheese too. Rich, thick texture. Sweet, fruity hop taste with a drying hoppy finish.
