2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml. Brilliant gold capped with a tenacious rocky white foam. Buttered pine, fennel and liquorice-alluding aroma with more than a slurp of sickbowl. Somewhat bilious and saline with an odd pasteurised-like Scottish malt richness undermining the hop. Marmalade and oak reminiscent of a GK supermarket ’IPA’. Minimal Citra character. I like the processed smoked cheese oatmeal flavour but it doesn’t belong in this beer. Way overrated.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle from The Beerhive.
Small white head, decent lacing. Clear golden body. Nose is citrus, brown sugar, a little treacle. Flavour has loads of pine and resin, a little grapefruit, good malt backbone as well. Finish is really bitter. Mouthfeel is full, medium carbonation with a nice bite. This is a cracking IPA, another winner from Alechemy.
