Bright clear gold beer, untidy small white head. Palate is light and smooth, semi dry, light fine carbonation. Light smooth malt, very light dry cream. Hops are spicy ripe orange with light floralness, Finishes light and dry. Drinkable but slightly clunky.

500ml. Brilliant gold capped with a tenacious rocky white foam. Buttered pine, fennel and liquorice-alluding aroma with more than a slurp of sickbowl. Somewhat bilious and saline with an odd pasteurised-like Scottish malt richness undermining the hop. Marmalade and oak reminiscent of a GK supermarket ’IPA’. Minimal Citra character. I like the processed smoked cheese oatmeal flavour but it doesn’t belong in this beer. Way overrated.

Bottle from Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Lightly hazed, pale amber. Sticky, bubbly, white head. Slightly fusty, buttery aroma. No burst of hops. Or anything, really. Taste is dry and fairly bitter. Palate is oily, with soft carbonation. Finish is bitter, with a little spicy dryness.

500ml bottle from The Beerhive. Small white head, decent lacing. Clear golden body. Nose is citrus, brown sugar, a little treacle. Flavour has loads of pine and resin, a little grapefruit, good malt backbone as well. Finish is really bitter. Mouthfeel is full, medium carbonation with a nice bite. This is a cracking IPA, another winner from Alechemy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
