500ml bottle. Clear, copper-ish, dark amber colour with average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Nuttily, malty aroma, a touch of caramel and shortbread. Taste is dry, nuttily malty, some caramel, a touch of toffee, slightly citrusy hoppy overtones with hints of orange and orange zest; bitter hoppy finish. Nice.

Not much on the nise but good thick dense off white head on crystal brown red. Lots of fizz and carbonic and thin in flavour and body. Metallic bitter middle and end. Not bad.

Taste of caramel, fruitcake, wood, spicy, herbal fruits like apple and grapefruit plus a hint of resin. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and an oily texture. A long fruity bitterness in the finish. A nice, flavourful red IPA/bitter.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500 ml bottle. Pours an amber copper colour with a small head. Aroma of bread, some wet earth and grains. Flavour of toasted malts, strong almond notes, astrigent, grassy bitterness, biscuit and some citrus. Light to medium bodied. Very malty and heavy for a bitter. Not my kind of approach.
