bottle from oddbins (bbe feb 2015). pours deep amber, puffy head. aroma is malt, rye, chocolate, a little whisky. taste is nicely bittersweet. medium body, slightly oily, lively but not too fizzy. bitterness lingers at the end. I approve of this ryePA trend.

[6387-20140627] Cask. Sweet barrel malt aroma. Clear, orange amber body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Woody toasted grains and barley malt flavour has a light burnt finish. Medium body. Good. (7/3/7/3/13) 3.3

Bottle @ rescheduled weekly tasting shared by Joes. Clear dark amber color, small off-white head. Smell malts, caramel. Taste malts, caramel, slightly earthy, bitter hops, bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Pretty nice.

Bottle @ benzai shared by joes. Clear dark amber to copper colour with a small off-white head. Smells coffee, roasty, nesquik. Tastes roasty, hint of iron, slightly chocolate. Pretty weird for a beer thats called a red ipa. Thin to medium body, easily drinkable, soft carbo.

Very hoppy malty aroma. Smells like burnt caramel. Dark caramel appearance. Very smooth. Very little aftertaste.

50cl bottle. Clear copper color, thick white head. Milk chocolate, nutty notes, toffee in aroma. Flavor has citrus, toffee, chocolate, hops. Bitter, nutty finish. Thin. Pleasant bitter, goes nicely with the chocolate notes.

500 ml bottle. Pours an amber copper colour with a small head. Aroma of bread, some wet earth and grains. Flavour of toasted malts, strong almond notes, astrigent, grassy bitterness, biscuit and some citrus. Light to medium bodied. Very malty and heavy for a bitter. Not my kind of approach.
