Cask, The Salmon, Leicester. Copper with a firm cream foam. Aromas are toffee and chocolate with raisins, pear and hints of pineapple. Some lemon with musty barnyard notes. Flavours are fruity malts with lemon tea and lightly tart lemon. Dry and woody with yeast to finish. Pretty good.

Bottle pours a dark amber with an off-white lasting head. Aroma is a rich complex of mature fruits. Taste is a malty dried fruitiness some resinous citrus elements. A pleasant rather fine ale I thought.

Pours medium clear amber with one finger off-white head. Aroma- super fruit punch, slight medicinal smell. Interesting. Taste begins with floral hops and carbonation, dips into a bitter middle which is briefly smoothed by caramel malts, maybe a hint of chocolate. Then butter finish which is a bit wood and a bit medicinal. I like it, but the aftertaste is too medicinal and dry.

Bottle at Chriso Easter "Flags of many nations" Tasting, 31/03/13 thanks to Craig I imagine!?! Clear reddish amber with a thin beige head. Nose is light smoke, burnt toffee, medicinal notes. Taste comprises sugars, grain, dark toffee, smoke. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry in the finish. Drinkable but forgettable.

Bottle at home courtesy of dantheman, cheers!
Dark copper red with grey white head that becomes a flat lacing. Very dry earthy, dandelion and acorn on the nose. Very light body, medium carbonation initial sweet brad crusts becomes astringent, red berries and chalky peppermint dryness and fairly creamy finish. A good bitter but I?d have liked more of challengers flavour to come through.

Clear copper pint with a thick foamy head. The aroma was a mix of malt and fruit and the flavour similar but with a sharp hoppiness in there as well. Very crisp and refreshing, a really nice pint.

Bottle. Pours mahogany with a white head. Sweet malt, pine and herb nose. Flavous starts with toffee before a sharp snap of pine hop bitterness. Wood and pepper. An excellent bitter.

50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours dark amber with a chink of red. Nice head. Nose of grapefruit, lemon maybe banana and hay.Taste of apples, cornflakes and a hint of toffee on the end. 7. The palate is towards medium bodied with a creamy texture with a tangy edge and a long clean finish.Overall, better than the sum of its parts. Really good!

Blue blazer in Edinburgh initial sweet malty biscuit taste with flavours of Carmel and herbs coming through however the finish is hoppy and bitter which detracts from an otherwise pleasant beer

Aroma: Huge herbal hit with earthy and toffee notes.

Appearance: Clear amber body with a large off-white head that slowly fades. Average carbonation. Light lacing.

Taste: Nice balance between the sweet malt and sharp citrus finish. A little woody, earthy and peppery.

Palate: Thin to medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation.

Overall: On the bottle it says it’s a Red IPA, but to me it’s more like a Bitter. It’s very complex and tasty.
