Cask/gravity at The St Albans Beer Festival 29 Sep 06. Labeled "Roman’s Load". Yellowish coloured. Hardly any head. Rich fruity aroma. Citric flavour. Sourish bitter finish. A bit dry. Unbalanced.

Also presented as Romans Load at the St Albans Beer Festival ’06. Half pint on gravity dispenser. Golden body with great clarity, but missing head. Citric smell and very fruity in the initial flavour. Abrupt, dry ending (29.09.2006).

A Sim Rate (cask at St Albans BF): It’s awful! Full of hops, sweaty feet and cheese. Quite a lovely combo for such a lovely beer. Bitter in the flavour. Unpleasant to sip. Thank you SO much for filling my glass past the half-pint line. You don’t realise in your generosity how much of a disservice you’ve done me.
