Cask gravity at Bedford BF ’09. Pale gold, almost limey in colour. Ashy hop aroma like burnt straw. Some ashy grassiness in the taste, tending towards grapefruit. Sharp bitter finish. Full of flavour for 3.6%, but not really to my taste.

Cask-conditioned at the Mermaid, St Albans 15/06/09. Golden in colour with a billowy white head. slight aroma of butter with some redeeming spicy, citrus hops. Flavour also started with some sweet, buttery malts before a dry hoppy finish. Ok.
