1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle @ RBESG Grand tasting 2009. Blonde. Vegetables and just a hint of old hops in the grainy flavor. Couldn’t trace much of an aroma. Not good.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
RBESG Sheffield 2009 Grand Tasting at the Harlequin. Clear golden colour, white head. Skunky corny aroma, flavour is sweet, corny, skunky, bit of cardboard. Bitter finish. A bit thin.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Very pale gold. Medicinal quality - echoes of wheat beer. Some sulpher in the nose. Quite soft. Malt lacks distinction and backbone, and the hops lack character and flavour. Undistinguished lager with some odd flavours that are not exactly unpleasant, but are less than attractive to my taste.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Smells fat and sweet. Green and clingy I don’t like this. Something cidery about it. Powdery and a bit chemical. Urgh.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pale golden beer with a fizzy white head. The aroma is fruity and dry, and the flavour is dry, mildly yeasty, and quite acidic and malty at the finish. Overall a nice lager like beer.
