COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Alesmith and Cigar City have once again partnered up for our second coast-2-coast collaborative brew, a delicious rye brown ale.

Worn out and tongue-tied from rhyming countless beer-centric names with “rye,” we knew it was finally time to quit rambling on and figured “Rye bother”…let’s brew. The result is a rich, malty Roggenbier that is riddled with notes of chocolate and biscuit that perfectly compliment the soft spiciness of the rye. Grab a pint and toast to the coasts.

This balanced and complex brew pairs best with smooth cigars and life-long friends.

Pours a deep brown color with a dirty malt aroma. Taste is heavy rye, chocolate, and bread. A weird chestnut, soil aftertaste that tasted stale. I had high hopes before opening this beer but was let down once I drank it.

for being less than a year old, this really felt like it had fallen completely apart .. . dark murky brown .. deep couch city .. . dirty rye mostly .. . light annoying mouth, not liking this one .. . . potatoes are lucky, they get to lie in dirt and then get to take a bath in delicious grease. #luckycunts

RBWG15. Clear red color. Thin khaki head. Dots and bits of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, slick lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Moderate to bigger sweet taste, light to moderate bitter. Some rye spiciness, mild oxidization, caramel, mild spicy hop. Decent, but doesn’t taste fresh somehow

Bottle on the RBWG bus. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head. The aroma is dark fruit, toffee, caramel. Medium mouth with strong toffee, booze, light smoke, lingering bitterness, very good.

Bottle. Pretty sure this might be a mislabeled yellow bus. Strong chocolate and bus smell. Brown with a light tan head. Peppery with a strong malt backbone. Little sign of alcohol. Decent

L’arôme est intrigante avec ses malts rôtis presque chocolatés martelés doucement d’épices poivrés. En bouche ça dérape un peu avec un bonne oxydation qui fini quand même à s’estomper en respirant. Ça goûte brun, ya pas de doute.

22 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Bottled 4/10/2014. Clear dark ruby brown with just over a finger of nice tan head. Nice lacing. Aromas of rye, toast, biscuit, light caramel and toffee. Tastes of nice rye spice, chocolate, toasty and roasty notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation.
