Bottle, tfs Vaiz! Aroma is huge fruity belgian hops, touch of spice, subtle malt note. Very nice. Flavour is fruity hops, light/medium bitter, subtle light sweet malt note. Touch of alcohol. Powerfull but nice. First triple from the states I truly like.

Bottle at home. Clear golden pour, thin white head. Aroma of fresh hops, pine and some grapefruit. Some fruity malts as well. Flavor is somewhat sweet, somewhat bitter. Nice balance. Hop bitterness is delicate with pine and grass and the malty sweetness is fruity and complex. Very nice balance in this brew. Nice.

From notes: Pours a hazy light golden orange color with visible carbonation bubbling up and a thin foamy off-white head that slowly fades into a lasting ring. Not much in the way of lacing. Spicy aroma with hints of pepper and coriander as well as some alcohol sweetness and sweet fruit notes. Hints of apple, pear and citrus peel. Subtle hops. Spicy and very hop forward for the style. Prominent zesty peppery flavor that is countered and nicely balanced mid-palate by citrus peel and crisp light fruit notes, most notably orange, apple and pear. Full bodied for the style with a nice balance of bitterness, spice and estery sweetness. The bitterness from the hops is stronger here than in any tripel I’ve had and they linger throughout into a dry finish.

Bottle(found on notes page in an old coat pocket...). Hazy golden pour with a fair amount of white head. Aroma of peach and sweet fruit esters, and a light alcohol note. Flavor is of dark fruits and malts, and a slight grass tone, no warming through the flavor.

A: Pours a light golden that is slightly hued in a light orange/apricot color. Decent white head; not much lacing. S: Plenty spice and a good amount of Belgian yeast, but nothing substantial. T: A little bit spicy, and some of that tripel characteristic taste with the yeast and spice layered together, but it tastes a little bit hot for the style, even given the high abv. M: Relatively hot. Medium-bodied with decent carbonation. D: Not quite what I expected, especially from three breweries of this caliber. A little bit of a disappointment--I’ll have to save my other bottle to see how it ages. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 04-25-2009

Bottle from Platinum Liquor in Nth Strathfield. A lot thinner than i expected, but still quite nice. Wine-like qualities to this, with plenty of belgian yeast flavours in this one.

Sweet white wine-like aroma, fruity with hints of hops and yeast. Sweet fruity yeast flavor with a bit harsh bitterness. + For small liquor taste. Nice beer to sip on!

A: The pour is a cloudy golden orange color with a fluffy white head that settles down to a thin layer. S: Lots of sweet fruit notes, particularly of the tropical variety (mangos and pineapples). Plenty of sweet malts and candi sugar as well, and some spicy yeast esters. T: Sweet malts and candi sugar dominate the flavor and subtle yeast contributions are right behind those. Mild coriander flavor and some of the same sweet fruits as detected in the nose. M: The body is medium with a smooth carbonation that is quite nice. D: About as good as I remember this one being, though I haven’t had this in quite some time. Still worth drinking, I would say.

Countbeer (1929) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - AUG 19, 2010
UPDATED: SEP 17, 2010 Bottle: Very small off white head/lacing. Slightly hazy orange little darker color. Smell fruit (orange, tangerine), malts, wheat, sugar, yeast. Taste is very smooth and silky on the tongue with a bit of a spicy, bitter and dry aftertaste.Taste a lot of fruits (orange, apricot), honey, vanilla, sugar and malts. Bit of grassy aftertase with hints of dry hops. After a couple of gulps the taste changes a bit into a woodish, mealy and bad whiskey/strong drink kinda aftertaste.
