4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle poured into my snifter.
A- Body is a slightly foggy golden yellow hue. Pours with a small (about 1/2 finger) foamy white head that quickly fizzes down to a thin collar. No lacing is left behind in the glass.
S- The smell is a wonderful blend of tart apple, sugary sweetness, soft floral hops, and a subtle background of bready yeast. Just a touch of phenols sting the nostril.
T- The flavor upfront is both tart and sweet as characteristics of granny smith apple come through. This is accented by equally strong floral hop flavor and a minimal yeasty backbone. The fruity flavors fade for the finish as the floral hop flavor and bready yeast becomes slightly more pronounced and slight alcohol astringency emerges here as well. What is left to linger is minimal floral hop bitterness, a moderate alcohol heat, and an impression of sweet bready yeast,
P- Medium to high tingly carbonation and lightweight body that is more on the smooth yeasty side than the astringent side.
O- This is a really good offering that may be a little bit better with age. Was expecting something immaculate considering that its a collaboration of 3 different breweries...and this one showed up as really good but not awesome. Something I certainly wouldn’t mind having again.

Pours of lovely hazy color, just with a tiny head.
Aroma is strange, with bready notes, not very intense.
Mouthfeel is mild and low-carbonated.
Taste is quite flat, interesting, caramely sweet, with some fruity notes as well.
Aftertaste is good and sweet.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a hazy light copper colour with minimal head that doesn’t stick around for long. The smell is a sweet bouquet of fresh wet yeast and caramel. You can definitely taste the Mikkel influence here. The flavour is abrupt (Mikkel is not exactly known for subtle flavours) and lacks the subtle fullness of a well aged westmalle. But like most Mikkeller beers the flavour is obvious and very well thought out. Very enjoyable.
