COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bright copper color, sparkling clarity, and good foam retention when properly served. Appealing Brussels lace. Deep toasty/caramelly malt balanced by spicy/fruity hop flavors accented by fruit esters resulting from fermentation with a championship yeast strain. The aroma is subtle and reflects the flavor with malt, hop and fruit (ester)/fermentation characteristics. Smooth, medium-bodied. Easy drinking with no harsh or astringent sensations.

En nas notem una dolçor amb tocs de poma vermella, terra, humitat, però molt suau. La carbonatació es mitjana. El sabor és bo amb notes de sègol, fulles, més tard caramel i una mica de pa.

660ml bottle (Viisi Pennia, Helsinki)
nice mashy aroma, dryish, some english hops. pleasan body, a little crisp in the carbonation, but that makes it quite refvreshing despite the rweidual sweetness. Retronasals are a little fruity, this is coming over as pretty nice ale. Finish is a touch mushroomy, but quite mellowp, and convincingly English. Not perfect, but still a good approximation to the English style, one of the better US attempts.

(Bottle, 0.65 l, at Oluttupa Viisi Penniä, 20120515) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, sweetness and hops. Palate was medium bodied with quite high carbonation. Flavours were hops, malts, molasses, fruitiness, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, malty and bitter. Not an ordinary ESB but a tasty one.
